On August 21 in Belgorod region, on the 41st km of the Palatovka-Biryuch crossing in Krasnogvardeysky district, where cargoes are transported to Lugansk and Donetsk, two “bundles” were found ten meters away from each other, covered with rubble. The sappers decided to disarm them by detonation. As a result, a third IED was detonated at a distance of about a hundred meters from the first two, which had not been noticed before. There were no casualties, the railroad track was damaged.
Probably a specific train was targeted. The devices, probably synchronized via radio channel, should have detonated at different points on the moving train. IED #3 was probably supposed to throw the locomotive off the tracks, and the first two – to cause secondary detonation of the “cargo”.
The pro-government media speak about the explosion in an indirect way: “another device has been detected,” “a terrorist attack has been prevented,” while in fact they are writing about a successfully detonated IED, the explosion of which damaged a strategic railroad and miraculously did not blow up the engineers or the cordon.

Moscow
On the night of August 23rd there was a sabotage on the railroad in Moscow
Someone removed the ventilation grates of the sectionalization post of the railway network at Molzhaninovo station and threw Molotov cocktails inside. The fire was extinguished by several fire brigades, but the post has been “negatively preserved completely” and is “experiencing a temporary delay in entering the operating mode”. The sabotage, allegedly, did not affect the movement of train. Nobody was detained.
Sectionalization post of the contact network is an electrical installation for balancing power consumption between neighboring sections of the railroad, protection against short circuits, remote measurement of parameters and control of the network. The use of the SP increases the safety and efficiency of power supply to the railroad.
Nizhny Novgorod region
On August 27th, about 2 a.m., a “fault” in the form of three burning signaling cabinets was detected on the Gorky direction of Moscow railway.
The driver of train No. 718 reported the incident at the crossing between Elektrougli and Khrapunovo stations. Dispatchers switched to communication by phone and worked in this mode until 4:30 am. The diversion caused disruption of the traffic schedule and delays of passenger trains up to 30 minutes. No hot pursuit arrests have been reported.
The arson was reported by the VestnikVosstaniya telegram channel with reference to the regional telegram channel on electric trains.
