Russia: Radical Resistance 29.08 – 27.09.24

Noyabrsk

On 11 September, propaganda media reported that two teenagers burned down an Mi-8 helicopter at an airfield in the city of Noyabrsk. Schoolchildren aged 13 and 14 sneaked into the territory of the aerodrome, doused the helicopter with incendiary mixture and set it on fire using cigarettes. Only the tail part of the craft was left.

Almost immediately after the action, the teenagers were detained (according to the official version, they received burns and called an ambulance themselves), and when questioned “confessed” that they decided to blow up the helicopter on the instructions of an unknown person from social networks, who promised them 5 million rubles. Leaflets with a cuar code calling to commit sabotage were allegedly scattered in their school.

We don’t know if the young partisans really fell for the setup or if it was different. In any case, if you are offered to carry out an action for money or if unknown people on the Internet tell you where and when to carry out an action, it is a sign of provocation. The security forces use such techniques to report on the capture of dangerous terrorists.

Borisoglebsk

On the night of 18 August, students of the Rise of the Drones group attacked an aircraft repair plant in Borisoglebsk with a drone. The exact location of the hit is unknown, the official services decided to hide the incident, but the explosion in a closed area was confirmed by a volunteer osint- at the Black Bridge telegram channel.

Contrary to its name, the 711th ARP is not engaged in aircraft, but in the repair and maintenance of air and cruise missiles, as well as ground-based radars. In April 2024, the plant has already received a blow from GUR.

Veliky Novgorod

On 18 September in Veliky Novgorod, the car of the head of the local branch of the “Combat Brotherhood” was burnt down.

“Combat Brotherhood” is engaged in propaganda of militarism and brainwashing of Russian children so that in the future they would become cannon fodder without complaint. Alexei Ivanov has been a member of the organisation since 2006, and has been its head since 2019. In 2022 he signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence and took part in the invasion of Ukraine.

Ivanov’s Cherry Tiggo was set on fire from the right front wheel to make the shareholder’s actions less visible from the windows of the house on Bolshaya St. Petersburgskaya 108/5. While the fire was noticed, while the EMERCOM came to the call, the fire spread to the neighbouring car. Both cars cannot be restored.

The Liberator movement (formerly Extremist) took responsibility for the action.

Krasnodar region

On 21 September there was probably an arson attack at the well-known base in Molkino in Krasnodar Region. Once it was the main base of PMC “Wagner”, but now, according to some reports, it is used by the structures of the “African Corps” – a conglomerate of Putin’s military units working on the “black continent”.

Officially arson is not confirmed, yet Z-blogger Yegor Guzenko (“Thirteen”) sai: “The fire occurred due to a ‘short circuit’, but in fact there is sabotage. Documentation, forms, personal files, and communication equipment worth hundreds of millions of roubles were burnt”.
